In the frames of the visit to Washington, Zaza Vashakmadze, the Head of the State Agency for Religions Issues held a joint meeting with representatives of international Jewish organizations in the USA, In particular, headquarters of „NCSIJ “(National Curriculum for Eurasian Jews Support) and “B’nai B’rith”.
At the meeting the hosts informed Zaza Vashakmadze about the activities of the organization "NCSIJ" and noted that this organization incorporates 50 Jewish national organizations, including “B’nai B’rith”. According to them, these organizations work actively with many countries in Jewish diaspora and religion issues.
According to Hosts their organizations support Georgia-US strategic partnership, including in the field of religion. The hosts emphasized the 26-year-old friendly relationship between Georgia and Jewish people, they welcomed the initiative to grant Georgian-Jew relationship the intangible cultural heritage status of and pledged support the Georgian side in recognition of this status at UNESCO.
They also positively assessed the religious exhibition organized by the Religious Agency at Georgian National Museum and expressed their desire to arrange same exhibition in the US.
